Despite strong literacy levels, many schools, colleges and training centres in Northeast India have outdated infrastructure, limited research funding, shortage of trained faculties and resources. Healthcare development sector has a shortage of doctors in remote areas, lack of modern equipments and specialised care centres. Moreover, due to inconsistent funding given to skill centres employement opportunities are limited. Thereby young generation of people are forced to migrate to national capital.

Call for collaborative Investment

The challenges facing in the Northeast are not limitations but they are opportunities for targeted and long-term investment. By increasing institutional funding through government, development banks and international partnerships, the Northeastern region can accelerate progress.
